A laser focus
Since the beginnings of the Videberg project in 2022, more than 100 000 man hours have been invested into the project. This strong commitment remains as does the laser focus on our mission: to deliver and operate 1500 MW at the Värö Peninsula.
Current status
The team at Videberg Kraft is working hard, with ambitious timelines, to be able to apply for the necessary permits to own and operate a nuclear facility. We are now in a early design phase which will progress into a more detailed design phase once we have selected a final supplier for our project. Right now, we are therefore predominantly focused on the following:
• Selecting the right supplier for our project
• Secure and characterise the site at Värö
• Evaluate and select the most appropriate plant concept
• Prepare applications for necessary permits
• Negotiations with the Swedish state on financing schemes
In the next phase, we will look further into adapted plan designs, detailed designs, site preparations and ordering long lead items. We will also continue to work hard to secure all other pre-requisites needed for a final investment decision
